About the author: John Restrepo
John Restrepo received his Mechanical Engineering degree from Eafit University in Medellín, Colombia, in 1997. He has been lecturer at the same University. From 1999 to 2004 he worked at Delft University as a Research Assistant and as a Design tutor. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2004.
Among others, he has lectured courses on systematic design, conceptual design, creativity and TRIZ. During his career, John Restrepo has designed multiple technical systems, such as computer controlled machines for the plastic industry and booths to apply liquid paint and powder coatings.
Currently he is an assistant professor at the Technical University of Denmark at the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
